I'm involved in projects at home, so I can't always organize my time. So I was looking for something that I could, say, spend an hour on a project with and then move on to something else. I also use it to remind myself to start dinner in an hour. It only lasts up to an hour and that's what I wanted. It limits my time and I can see how much time I'm working on something. If I want to continue, I just set the timer for an hour or half an hour, etc. It makes a nice beep, but it's audible throughout the house. Good product! Good price! Great for kids or students spending class time on topics!
