Just check my body pools

Works as it should. Definitely recommend if you have a pool. I recently had to repaint the entire pool because I added too many chemicals. I should have checked the pH first.

Cons
  • Lots of things

Easy to use and beats these test strips

later Was looking for a reusable tester to replace these pH strips for our hot tub. It seemed accurate and it was really easy to use. I tested it for streaks and got the same result. It's nice to have an actual reading instead of trying to interpret those color ranges!

Cons
  • I'll write

Garbage. That does not work.

Doesn't work at all. I even took it to a gardening shop to have it calibrated even though they said it was already calibrated. In Solution 4.0 it was 2.0. In Solution 7.0, the pen reads Solution 6.8. It also states that some sort of powder solution is used for the calibration, but it doesn't come with any of the powders listed. And the battery died after I spent an hour calibrating this thing. Just spend another $20 and get one that really works. Revain refunded my money. Many Thanks

did not work: pH meter

The pH meter did not work from the start. The readings for every solution I tested, from diluted baking soda (mild lye) to diluted vinegar, all readings were around 11.1-11.3 (strongly alkaline pH, which is rare). There is no point in calibrating a device that is insensitive to changes in acidity. Most likely some liquid contacts will clog if stored dry. For most pH electrodes it is recommended to store them in a buffer solution; Leaving glass electrodes dry for months will kill them. This most

Another supplier includes calibration bags. The price is $17.99.

The device is supplied without a calibration bag. There is no branding or identification information on the meter and the meter was shipped without an accompanying data sheet. Earlier I asked the wrong question about calibration packages. I had to ask which website or company should I contact to get the packages? The 3 answers indicated that I had to order the packages separately, but not how or where. Now I've found that the same counter and packs are available in Revain from another vendor…

Cons
  • Reliability

Simple and practical: test, measure and verify

Remove the cap, press the on button and put the end into the liquid. That's all you have to do. This meter is more convenient than using pH paper (more convenient than turning around to order a new pack of test strips every time) and provides more consistent results. My daughter and I tested an electronic pH meter with paper test strips for a variety of liquids: tap water, some acids, some bases, and a few unknowns. The results were generally consistent, with the gauge giving more consistent…
