surprising. Doesn't matter. 15 minutes installation. The only thing that worries me is that the handle is offset 6-8 inches to the right. A small minus compared to the pluses of shifting now. I wanted the old speed but it was three times the price and it works just as well.

Great. I know EMPI can get a bad rap sometimes, but this switch works fine. Easy to install and the trigger switch is a great feature. This makes reverse searching much easier. In addition, shifting is much shorter and smoother than with a standard derailleur.

I was concerned that this shifter would not fit in the later 1972 bay window. Fits and shifts like clockwork! Shifting is much easier and reversing is easier than before. I love my new switch! The only downside is that the shift knobs don't fit the trigger.
