This is a backup protection product that saves time. This way my fuses are protected from dust, dirt and water. Very inexpensive and easy to install.

Used on a converted Twin LS motor yacht. The old connections were corroded and replaced with these and they seem to be working great. The cover over the fuse could have been a little tighter for better water protection, but it doesn't really matter where they are in my application.

The fuse holder looks well made. Comes with long pigtails and 40A ATC fuses, but you can fit any size ATC fuse. I switched to 30 A, they have not just been installed for a few days, but the cover is supposed to protect against dust, dirt and splash water. Obviously not exposed under water. It may be necessary to apply a light coat of dielectric grease to the locking pins.

10 gauge wire is good, real copper and will carry 40 amps continuously with no problem. On the other hand, the fuse holder gets a bit warm even at 25-30 amps. If you need a 40 amp circuit this is not for you. I use this in a test setup to test the capacity of LiFePO4 batteries. They get dangerously hot at 35 amps, overheat at 30 amps, and work well at 20-25 amps. you have been warned

Bought these to assemble battery pins for a wireless project. They worked as intended but were slightly different than the pictures. I intended to make the loop closer to the fuse holder on one end so the fuse is closer to the battery. When they arrived they were already cut so I couldn't. Also, it was cheap aluminum wire, and soldering wasn't as easy as we'd like. The time will show.

These fuse holders are better than I expected. In most cases these things come from Amazon, they are very fragile and not durable at all. However, this is not the case with these! The fuse holders are very strong and the wiring is very strong! Even where the wires enter the fuse holder housing, it was strong and tough. I bent two of them over to see if I noticed any cracks or splits, but didn't. I will buy them again in the future if needed!
