If you want to sell your house, every little update pays off. While this may not seem like much, it does date your home and give the impression that you are "letting it go". For a few dollars and a few minutes of your time, whether you think it's important or not. it does. You will "feel" it. Look at the picture and you will understand what I mean. Gets the job done at a very good price. I just bought a new apartment and took two rentals and released about 15 of them. I usually just screw part of the coil into an existing plate for convenience - as long as they all work well. I also installed the included plates for a couple of them and it's very easy. Total length is 3 inches from base to tip. So far so good and they look good. Will definitely buy again.

All the doors and baseboards in my house are painted white so these doorstops go really well with the decor. To install it you need to remove the spring from the base and use the screw provided to fix it to the wall. Once the base is in place, screw the spring back onto the base and you're done. I give it four stars because the screw usually gets stuck in the spring and you have to use something to knock it out. Using a hex wrench worked for me.

Looks good and very easy to assemble. One problem is that the tips are not glued or otherwise attached. They're easy to remove and we have kids in the house so that's bad. This problem is easily solved with a hot glue gun. Pro tip: We've tried other adhesives and none worked well due to the white coating on the nib and rubber tip - most adhesives just don't stick these things very well. Bumper may be slightly off center after installation and pointing in any direction. It's not very obvious unless you have two next to each other and you can see they're not facing the same direction, or if you just have a very keen eye. There is no other way to solve this problem than not over tightening the screw - this will deform the base plate and cause the door to stop in crazy directions instead of right in the wall. Pretty easy to screw on - straight and level. Solid feel - good weight. Rather cool white (I want to be off-white, but not quite). Basically neutral white.
