Nice but small in my review

Nice pins. Quite small - a little hard for me to grasp. I don't have any joint issues, just seem to prefer a larger head pin.

Pros
  • Excellent just as described
Cons
  • The pins can be difficult to see on darker fabrics, leading to mistakes in sewing

Perfect for smal projects

These straight pins are perfect for working on small projects, sharp will penetrate 3 layers of cotton fabric easy, the ball head is just the right size

Pros
  • Made making wigs easier. Holds the hair & wig in place.
Cons
  • The pins are not suitable for use on delicate fabrics, as they can cause damage

A little disappointed

I thought the heads on the pins were going to be larger. The one on the top is what I have and thought I was getting and the one on the bottom is what I got. They'll work but will be harder to handle.

Pros
  • Serves the purpose
Cons
  • The packaging is easily damaged during shipping, rendering the pins unusable

Pins Pins Pins - Good Pins for Sewing Needs

This review is for Dritz 75-Piece Long Ball Point Pins by Prym Consumer USA.Purchased these to replace old pins that were bending and had too small of heads. The heads of these are great because you can't lose them in the material, nor are they difficult to pull out while using the sewing machine. Never had a problem with these and they are pretty sturdy. The little plastic container box is very convenient for keeping. Am very pleased with these and have used these for quite some time now and…

Pros
  • They work, I don't know what else to say about pins.
Cons
  • The packaging is not stackable, adding to storage problems

So long. Yikes. in my review

Omg, these are SO long. I wasn’t expecting the shortest ones to be this long. Yikes. I poke myself every time I use them in my mask making. I’ll be on the hunt for shorter ones (quilting ones).

Pros
  • I received packaged like this says its plated nickel over steel.
Cons
  • The packaging is flimsy and often falls apart, making it difficult to store the pins

Losing their heads best in my review

These pins are ok but several pin heads have pulled off when removing from fabric. Then hard to grab and remove when have arthritis in your hands

Pros
  • They work but boy are they itty bitty! A picture to scale would have been a good visual.
Cons
  • The pins are prone to rusting, ruining the fabric they are used on

Not ball POINT pins.

I was looking for ball POINT pins for pinning knit fabrics. They have a colored ball on the end of the pin, but the point is not a ball point pin. Need to change description.

Pros
  • These are the pins to use on knit fabric
Cons
  • The ball point tips can become blunt, making the pins unsuitable for finer fabrics

Must-Have for knit fabrics!

The ball point separates the fibers on knits so you won’t get snags that can happen with regular sewing pins. I’ve labeled my box "for knits” andcwill keep them separate from my other pins.

Pros
  • Fast shipping item as described
Cons
  • The pins can cause injury if accidentally stepped on or left in an unsafe location

Just what I was looking for!

After reading all the reviews of straight pins on revain & going round & round, I was was totally confused. But I just received these & they're great. A little longer than standard length straight pins, which is what I wanted. I've handled about half of the 75 pins, & all are perfect. They have plastic heads, but that's not a problem, since I wouldn't iron over pins anyway.

Pros
  • Excellent ball point pins
Cons
  • Pins are great but the lid pops off with little pressure

Trust DRITZ products!

Like the longer length and always prefer ball point because I sew a lot with knits! Can use ball point pins on woven but not regular point pins on knits and I double up containers and repurpose the empties! I will pay more for dritz because I trust them, though I can’t always find GLASS ball tops! Have gotten spoiled and do not want to use pins without them!

Pros
  • Painful if you were not careful
Cons
  • Great size but some pins slide easily others not

Dull and useless best in my review

I tried to use these pins for knit fabric when laying out a pattern, and they're so dull it was hard to get them to go through the fabric. They wouldm't pierce the tissue paper pattern at all. I threw them away and got regular, longer pins in a different brand that work beautifully for everything.

Pros
  • Was good quality.
Cons
  • The pins are not suitable for use with a sewing machine and can damage the machine if used

They bend pretty easily!

Having the beads on one end make them easy to pick up. However, they do bend more easily than the older ones. Pins have gotten pretty expensive - I’d feel better about paying that amount if they lasted longer.

Pros
  • What can I say. They're pins and they work
Cons
  • The ball point tips can catch on fibers, causing pulls and damage to the fabric
