To update! POS best in Tools & Equipment

Remote switch will not turn on or does not work at all. Well, when you plug it in, it turns the device on, but not off! The ad is empty! Update: July 6th, 2019: I've had it for 3 months now and it's completely dead! Before that, the remote just didn't work and when I turn it on it just beeps and a red error lights up, no power output! ONE PIECE OF CRASH! waste of money!

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Almost OK

Works well, no major complaints.

For a month's use, it has proven to be very good. It would be nice to be able to turn off the remote control backlight/LED backlight. The knurled nuts on the DC input are questionable in terms of tightening securely. I need to check regularly when working on a mobile app where vibration is present. This is not an inverter problem, but it can draw 100 amps and trip a 100 amp circuit breaker.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Some cons

This device stops working below -11°C, so it is useless in very cold places. It regenerates when heated. However, the no-load current (no AC load) is 0.8A, or about 9.6W. This is comparable to much smaller inverters, so it makes sense to leave this enabled. I've run the microwave with no problems and have drawn 100 amps from the battery for over 3 minutes with no problem except the battery drained to about 10.5 volts. Restores to 12.3 as soon as the microwave is turned off.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Small size but intermittent operation

The inverter occupies little space compared with similar 1000w pure sine wave inverters, and the remote switch is convenient; However, the displayed performance was inaccurate and inconsistent. When we plugged in a 60W bulb, it read 38W. When we used a small vacuum cleaner (rated at 480W), the display indicated that we were using 800W. When working with a 700W microwave oven, the display showed that we were consuming 1200W of power, which is much higher than the inverter's rated power. The…

Good value for money - 300W Spartan Pure Sine Inverter

Decent price for a 300W Pure Sine Inverter. At 13.1V the idle current is 390mA. Output 113V. It regularly loads up to 350 W (ohmic). Average efficiency 86%. The digital display is quite accurate. (The display alternates between input voltage, output voltage and Hz) The fan switches on regardless of the temperature at around 70 W (if the consumption fluctuates, the fan also pulsates - (annoying)). Medium-duty suitcase. It will NOT work with a medium or large sized compressor fridge. Works with…

Inexpensive but requires TLC to work.

I installed this unit on my boat a little over a year ago and have used it to run electronics, power tools and other equipment throughout. The extended display panel was a feature I really appreciate at this price point. The device is almost noiseless in operation and works together with the electronics without any problems. However, if it is at full capacity, it will most likely fail soon. On the plus side, it's easy to fix. I would like to point out that I use this unit in a humid marine…

Not as advertised and didn't work for more than a few minutes

[Updated on 14 actual use (whether traveling or preparing for emergencies). The device is now only outputting 70VAC, which isn't very useful even for purely resistive loads (e.g. coffee maker, small toaster oven, etc.), suggesting that with such a low input supply voltage the device won't turn on at all. I will try to return this unit after processing the first return. I understand that it's difficult to find a reliable 1kW+ pure sine wave inverter in the price range (people think AIMS products

  • Good product for the price

Great inverter with great remote display and amazing support

I bought this to put in the back of my Prius to have a 1kW generator set on wheels. I was told that this model has very clean power. It's mounted nicely on the inside of the rear fender just above the 12v battery. I used a built in circuit breaker between the battery and the inverter. The 22 inch cables that came with the inverter were perfect. I cut off the positive wire and inserted a built in circuit breaker that has screw connections that go over the raw ends of the wires so I didn't have…
