Not worth it, poor release mechanism

Easy to put on, not easy to take off after the first fill I put on, it didn't come off, had to help and they just broke it off. Worst purchase

Make sure it fits your car!

match the protection to the original fuel cap, otherwise you will have to face the problem of checking the engine. It has the standard spiral pattern you see on most screw caps. My car (Mazda) has a rectangular crest pattern, so this product is not really compatible. Also, I found locking and unlocking very difficult, but this could be due to a thread mismatch.

What do you say it's a gas cap

I thought it would be nice to have a locking gas cap at this throttle height. It fit well but was difficult to put on and take off. Also, my Mazda kept showing an error when using the gas cap. After taking it to the dealer found Mazda knows if you are not using an OEM gas cap and throws an error due to the wrong vapor lock. In the end I stopped using it. For me it was a waste of time; However, your mileage may (sort of) vary.

Garbage. False sense of security. Will break when you try to fill the tank.

We bought two of these. One for our 2006 Tundra and one for our 2019 Tundra. After a month of use in the '06 Tundra, the check engine light came on even after checking that the cap was screwed in properly until it clicked. After removing it and putting it on a regular cover, the Check Engine light went out. So the vent on this cover is obviously not designed properly. In our 19-year-old tundra, the lid wouldn't open when we tried to fill up with gas in a remote part of our state. Luckilyโ€ฆ
