Decent Brass Fitting

This is an item you can probably pick up at your big box-hardware store, but I ordered two of these just because I was in the middle of a job and wanted them fast. They are high quality and worked well for me.Note that there is a male threaded end that screws into a female fixture (in my case, it was a small RV water pump) . and the other end is for PEX pipe. You'll need a PEX crimp ring of some kind (copper or steel) to make that PEX fitting.A good fitting at an okay price.

Pros
  • Does what it should
Cons
  • Potential Leakage - Poor installation or low-quality crimping tools can cause leaks in the connection point, which can lead to water damage and costly repairs
