🔬 Plastic Hydrometer Testing Jar - 14 Inches Review

Holds too much for a simple hydrometer reading. But if I drop it, it probably won't shatter into a billion pieces like my glass did.

Description states 0.5 inch inner diameter. It's actually 1-3/8", which creates the problem that more liquid is needed to get the sample, which means more waste.

It passed the first alcohol test. Rinse and let dry. On the second use it reacted very badly, broke all over the tube. Most of the cracks developed on the lower level, which was introduced into the alcohol first.

1- Not as pictured; Mine arrived with a black plastic adhesive base. The base was slightly warped but appeared to be functional. 2- Leaked immediately and then jumped on first use to test the alcohol with a hydrometer. Not to mention that it is not suitable for alcohol. This is clearly not true.

Other people don't have this problem but have something in it and I've tried everything in the world to clean it and it just won't come out that it looks very ugly and i have only used it once so i would say its always good to start with glass waste my money now i have to start over

The item came torn above but I think I can use my hydrometer. It's a shame to receive a broken package but I'm pretty sure it has to do with the delivery of the post and not the quality of the product. I am writing here just in case it may improve consumer education for future buyers.

The product was originally usable. However, after several uses and sterilizations, it began to deteriorate very quickly. It's made entirely of plastic and not very thick plastic, so the walls started cracking almost immediately. Eventually after a few weeks of use it became unusable because the glue holding the cylinder to the base broke and leaked everywhere.
