The suction cup doesn't stick well to any surface. I attached it to the windshield and also placed it on my desk. Both times the weight of my phone helped me (Iphone 12 pro max). Not to mention that without a phone two nights in a row it fell off the windshield onto the floor of my car the next morning. I first tested this at work with my international flatbed truck carrying a flatbed trailer. I bought this for my iPhone 12 Pro with a MagSafe silicone case. I used the included suction cup and it fell off the first night but I put it back straight away and it's been on for over a week now. I also didn't bother cleaning the inside of the windshield or cleaning the suction cup after it was dropped the first time, so I'm more than happy with it. The magnet is more than enough for a heavy 12 Pro so it would be perfect for that 12 or 12 Mini. I can't say how this will affect the Pro Max…
