These won't substitute for Trane PerfectFit filters

I searched for "Trane PerfectFit filters" and these popped up, so I ordered them. BUT. they are not shaped properly for my furnace which requires the 'PerfectFit' filters. So they were returned.I don't know how this was incorrectly categorized, but it caused me unnecessary work. Could not find any filters to meet my needs.

  • Filter works great and is the same quality as the filter that the AC company wants $100 apiece.

  • Seems to work fine.

WORKS WONDERS on my review.

The style is a bit different from the last time I ordered them but this is about 8 months of buildup vs brand new. I should have definitely changed it sooner but it’s crazy how much these filter out of our air. (Our a/c is only 2 years old and we live in Florida.) It blows my mind thinking of using a 1” filter vs this 4 3/8” filter in all other homes I’ve lived in. Yikes! I highly recommend these. Cheapest ones I’ve found online, last a long while and filter out a ton.

Great price for these filters

The air filters in this size are difficult to find and expensive. These are great filters at a great price! Despite being marketed as a MERV 8 filter, this product is unable to effectively capture smaller particles and airborne contaminants, making it less efficient than other filters on the market.

Great replacement filter

After recieving and installing my new filter it appears to be the exact same fit and quality as the OEM filter. Because of it's size the filter is projected to last for 6 months so we will see how well the performance holds up over that period of time.

  • Arrived fast. Fits air conditioner perfectly

  • High replacement frequency: Due to its lackluster performance and weak construction, this filter must be replaced far more frequently than most other HVAC air filters, leading to increased expenses and inconvenience for the user
