1991 2000 Sedan Touring Hood Supports Review

This item is sold as "BMW 3 Series E36 OEM Bonnet Lift Supports". I doubt the use of "OEM" in the description. The cylinders of these struts are about an inch shorter than the original BMW struts. Two disadvantages of the shorter cylinder; The hood does not open as far and the wiring harness that attaches to the front right lifter is about 1" longer than the cylinder, requiring modifications to the wiring harness.
