I wanted a 360 degree motion sensor light in my garage. My previous one worked only when I was under it. This turns on when I step out of my porch.

I have a three car garage which the previous owner installed 6 dual tube fluorescent light fixtures with each tube 40 watts each. Total of 480 watts when all are turned on. I installed two Tanbaby 60 watt LED fixture and this lights up the entire garage with no problem. I purchased and unfortunately, later returned two of these units, intending to use them in my garage. I screwed the first LED fixture in and everything was great; I screwed the second one into the circuit and they both began strobing at a low light output level when the switch was OFF. The problem is that I control those fixtures with a 10 year old Lutron electronic timer switch, and it is not compatible with modern LED bulbs. WAY too sensitive! The radar technology is cool and extremely effective. However, in my situation (and probably yours), it is not a good solution. The motion radar senses motion through walls. The entrance to my garage is in the middle of a hallway that also connects a bedroom and a bathroom. So anytime someone passes through that hallway, the light kicks on--negating any energy savings that a motion sensor might offer (since it is constantly drawing power anyway).On this model, there is no way

Worked for about a day then motion sensor stopped working. Verified that the motion sensor switch is set to on, but the light will not turn off unless you turn the wall switch off.

It seems magical because it just works and it works better than I expected it to. No set up, just unfold it, screw it in and magic ensues. I'm so impressed that I was moved to write a review!

Seriously, these lights are insanely bright!. You can angle the wings a bit too.MUST HAVE for any garage or work space. May not work with all types of garage or shop layouts.

I bought this thinking it was bright white ( it's a warm white). So it really doesn't light my single car garage as it should. Even with my mistake on color of light, it should be brighter, considering the cost.

Fantastic lights!- increased my garage light by 100%. Only took 1 minute to install- no harder than changing a light bulb.I’ve had them for a couple of months now- working fine- so I’ll make another assessment after 6 or 8 months- so far fantastic- highly recommend

There are so many variations of this light style on the market its hard to make a decision. Hopefully this helps. Overall these are about as bright as a 150W equivalent standard LED bulb. You can direct the light and you will need to if you want good coverage. Lift the panels 10-20 degrees from horizontal and you will cover 20ft or so unless you have really low ceilings. I like that it was easy to install and that it’s bright, but the motion sensor barely functions. I closed the door to my garage and after 15 minutes could see that the light was still on from my garage camera. I know they said it was very sensitive, but it was going off in a confined space.

I was shocked by how bright these were. Some reviews said otherwise but let me tell you! These light are bright, very bright. However they are very sensitive to movement and they will even trigger to vibration!. Sometimes they will stay on even though the motion sensing setting is on. In that case I turn the light fixture switch off and back on and then it works fine. Overall I’m happy with this purchase.

What a difference between my 60W lightbulb and the Tanbaby light! I can actually see in my laundry room. The light in the picture is the bright white, but I also bought the warm white for my cellar stairway I'm very happy with these lights and would definitely buy again.maybe another one or two for my garage.
