I was surprised that it stays put but hair does go under the rim. If it had a silicon rim maybe the hair couldn't slip underneath it.

I use silicone adhesive to install these in our shower drain. They work very well and last a couple years before needing replacement. Took off a star because somehow, when I needed these, I ended up paying twice the normal price. They should cost about $2.50 each. Revain sort by price was ineffective, and the NEXT DAY I received an email offer from Revain, much closer to the normal price.

arrived on time and in perfect condition--there were 2 insert style screens to keep hair from entering the tub's trap system. this is an excellent solution as the screens dont move until you remove them for cleaning.

Don't expect this to fit high in your sink drain, but it will fit in the bottom! Useful and catches small debris. The strainer may not be sturdy enough to handle heavier debris.
