Removing a part from a car takes a lot of time and effort, so it's important to have a quality part that works and fits properly. It's a piece of junk that doesn't work. It was the wrong size and broke immediately. Now I have to do the whole thing again next weekend and my door won't open at this time. Very frustrating. I really want them to check the quality before shipping this product.

This part goes perfectly with my 2003 Sequoia. The only problem my mechanic had was figuring out that the cable needed to be attached after the tailgate handle was installed on the car. I had to tighten it with pliers. It went downhill from there! The dealership charged $440 to fix the trunk handle and replace two blown tail light bulbs. I replaced the bulbs, latch, cord and handle for $160 including labor.

This overhead gate operator is poorly designed and has to adjust the bolt pressure so much that it ends up breaking the bolt itself and making it impossible to open the hatch. Unfortunately I was unable to return my "return" drive as the return date was 30 days past. I had to purchase and install a brand new actuator AFTER purchasing 2 different fasteners which also broke under pressure before I realized the real problem was this piece of junk. I have bought these from several different sellers on Amazon and none of them have worked well or at all. I'm so tired of swapping them out, but now I can do it in 20 minutes. The cable was just the right length and shifting is smooth. I strongly recommend replacing the handle at the same time. The reason they still fail is due to dirt and age. If one is bad, then the other is probably bad too. This time I changed both, like new. Now he has to survive the winter in Colorado. I hope I don't swap
