cut key! best in anti-theft

I have a body shop and it was easy for me to program this key with the "Launch" computer. I had a hard time getting it cut at key shops as most refused to cut this "chipped" key. Only one key maker agreed to cut this broken key after I showed him my auto repair business card and the gentleman charged me $7.50 for his services. The mentioned key performance was satisfactory.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • requires socket

Good replacement key - easy programming instructions

Easy to program (needs two function keys to program). Works like a normal key. Plastic (near where the metal part is sticking out) that has slipped out. I put it back in place and put a drop of super glue on it to hold it in place.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Only available in black

Great product well suited for interior decoration

This is a simple and CHEAP solution to get an extra key. You just get it at any hardware store, and then follow the program's instructions, which turn out to be non-linear. ONE THING, you need 2 working chip keys to program this key yourself. I paired this with a Ford three button remote found here and for less than $20 replaced the dealer key with an inline remote which they wanted $500 for.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Quality

Best not programmed into anti-theft

I cut this key at Home Depot (luckily they do it for free) and it fits the ignition perfectly. I have followed the programming instructions that came with the dongle as well as the instructions in the user manual. curious that they are different. but none worked. I was researching Ford key programming online and found a statement that said. If the second working key was made by copying the programming of the first key rather than programming it in the machine (Ace Hardware does this, like many…

Pros
  • handy thing
Cons
  • so far so good
