Great Value - Weather Radios

This is a great radio, with lithium batteries better reception than my C Crain pocket radio. It features a mini SD slot, solar and clockwork, and cable charging. The only downside is that the tuner knob is small for fat fingers. Argh!, no headphone jack.

good for hurricane preparation

We bought this for hurricane preparation as I live in Florida. dark. I like that it has plenty of range for the radio and it can also be turned on when the battery is needed. We probably won't use the flashlight itself as it consumes a lot of battery. We have other options for lighting, but that's good to eat in case we need it.

Great little radios!

My husband and I camped in a National Forest in Michigan for Thanksgiving with no cellphones or internet. I ordered this radio because we like listening to music when we're just relaxing away from the kids. This little radio was AMAZING! We turned it on the first night, then charged it and it ran the remaining four days. We are glad that we can use it not only for camping but also for fishing.

This NOAA handheld radio strikes me as more convenient (no pun intended) than the others, thanks to the built-in Li-Ion battery case (18650/2000mAh) that can be removed and replaced. I already have a couple of these flashlights, so let's get started. The sound quality is good, everything works great. The battery lasts a long time and if you have spare batteries you never need to use the grip :) Unless you are old fashioned and want to. God bless.

At this price point (less than $17) it was exactly what I was looking for.

AM-FM + NOAA crank solar powered piggy bank with long life rechargeable/replaceable battery (18650). It features a battery indicator as well as a custom LED. The flashlight is good and bright, and the SOS signal is pretty loud considering the size of the radio. The sound quality is rather poor, but that's not what I bought this radio for. I wanted something with alternative power options and weather information, as well as a removable 18650 battery. I have other radios that use this cell so I…
