very nice hiking/walking socks

I wear size 15 shoes and the XL size fits me very well. They're stretchy enough so they're not too tight but they provide good support. The reinforced area around the foot is very comfortable on the arches. I can't really speak to how warm they are because I live in Southern California and it doesn't get that cold. But these socks feel good in walking or hiking shoes, and they're attractive enough to wear with dress shoes.

Pros
  • The thermal design helps to regulate foot temperature, keeping feet warm in cold environments and cool in hot weather.
Cons
  • Limited product availability in certain regions

Super Comfortable and Soft Socks

These are really comfortable socks. They're soft, and are form-fitting to the foot, ankle and calf. I wear a 8 1/2-9, depending on brand of shoe, and the medium size fits me perfectly. They seem pretty warm, although I haven't worn them out in the winter yet. The fact that they are about a third wool would lead me to believe that they are going to be nice and toasty. I like the length, which goes up to nearly the top of my calf. This is great to help cover it to keep it warm, and to keep tall…

Pros
  • These are well made and comfortable socks
Cons
  • Not durable, prone to wearing out and tearing quickly

2 pairs, not 3, of decent socks

🧦 WHAT YOU GET: 2 pairs of socks.🧦 COMFORT: These socks are only 30% wool but still soft and comfortable.🧦 THICKNESS: These socks are a medium thickness for a winter sock.🧦 MOISTURE WICKING: Decent moisture wicking, not the best but good.🧦 ELASTIC: These are stretchy enough to stay in place.🧦 QUALITY: These socks are well made, good quality, not quite as good as brand name Merino socks but nice enough.

Pros
  • The high-quality design ensures that these socks will hold up well even after multiple wears and washes.
Cons
  • Socks may slide around in the shoe, causing discomfort

Soft and durable for my opinion

I love merino wool for its feel on the skin and its ability to wick moisture and dry quickly when wet. When blended with other synthetic fibres, it can be quite durable while retaining many of its natural characteristics: i.e. dry quickly, remain substantially odor free, and moisture wicking. These socks are of a dense but smooth weave and neither overly thin nor thick. The cushion in the sole is sufficient to provide a comfortable feel for hiking. I like the feel of them on my skin and the…

Pros
  • The breathable material allows air to circulate, reducing the risk of moisture buildup and odor.
Cons
  • May shrink in the dryer or after washing

I have grown to appreciate merino wool socks. Ever since LL Bean stopped their lifetime warranty and I get only 1-2 years out of a 2-pack at $13.50 a pair, I’ve started looking elsewhere. The Keecow are 3-pair for $8 a pair, and I may like them even more. They are definitely a bit heavier weight and thicker than the pairs from LL Bean, but they just are delightful.I’ve worn them flying on my paramotor with my Merrell hiking boots, and where other socks let the heat out after about an hour, these

Pros
  • He works in a facility that is cold and these sox do just what is claimed, keep your feet warm.
Cons
  • Not enough variety in color options

Definitely warm. good for me

I'm a men's size 10.5 and the large size fits perfectly. They're very comfy. These are heavy socks, definitely winter socks, at least for me. My feet get hot and need to breathe, so much so that I wear sandals year round. Yes, I'm a socks and sandals guy and not ashamed at all. Typically in summer I'll wear non-padded running socks as they breathe well. As the weather cools I'll switch to warmer/thicker socks. I tried these recently on a cold morning (35F.I'm in the high desert) and they're…

Pros
  • The natural antimicrobial properties of merino wool reduce the growth of bacteria and odor, ensuring a fresher smell even after multiple wears.
Cons
  • Not recommended for individuals with sensitive skin

Thick, soft, and they fit great!

I'm 6'4" with size 13 feet, so I ordered the x-large.They got here fast, nicely packaged, and fit like a glove.they even go up past my calf and stay there! I'm impressed.I wore a pair to work today and it feels like I'm barefoot! They are thick, but soft, and they just kind of disappear.Get a set.you won't be disappointed!

Pros
  • The thermal design and cushioned material make them ideal for colder climates and winter sports
Cons
  • Not recommended for outdoor activities in wet or damp conditions

I wanted some new socks for hiking for this upcoming fall and winter season. I live in the mountains where we get lots of rain and quite a bit of snow as well. Merino wool for me has been the best material to use for any type of base layer like socks, undershirts, underwear and hats. The price on these socks is very budget friendly, but that is because they are a wool blend merino wool sock that has 31 percent merino wool. One of the bigger brands of merino wool socks use one hundred percent…

Pros
  • Men
Cons
  • Inadequate moisture-wicking abilities, leading to sweaty and uncomfortable feet

Medium-weight high-quality wool socks

I'm really happy with these wool socks. They are densely knitted, with 30% wool for warmth but no itchiness. I would describe them as medium-weight. Not as thick as a hiking sock, but considerably thicker than a regular sock. They are true to size and fit snugly without feeling constricting. And the dark grey color is very versatile, with subtle details provided by different stitches used in the knit construction of the sock. Recommended!

Pros
  • The natural stretch of the merino wool material ensures a snug and comfortable fit for all foot sizes.
Cons
  • Long drying time after washing

My husband finds these socks more comfortable than the acrylic crew socks which he normally prefers, partially because they have a cushier sole which doesn't compress as much. They stretch well, go on nicely, and fit as expected. He states that they are warm in cool weather. So far, he has not noticed any downsides to them.Thank you for reading my review. I hope you found it helpful.

Pros
  • These are the best socks I have found! Cushioned, fit well, breathable.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for individuals with wool or lanolin allergies

A very comfortable and durable pair of socks

This a a very comfy pair of socks. I wear these with my RedWing boots at work and my feet feel cushioned, amply supported (due to the compression design) and breath really well. Also great for hiking and camping trips where you want your feet to stay warm. Quality Merino wool material with a good weave and softer texture on the inside surface. A great gift for you or your hiking companion!

Pros
  • The durable construction and reinforced areas make these socks a long-lasting investment.
Cons
  • May not be stretchy enough or have sufficient elasticity for some individuals

Must Have! good for me

Great quality, WARM, fit snug. What more do you need!?!? I purchased twice so far, so I could have more pairs. That’s how much I Absolutely love these socks! Must have!

Pros
  • The unisex design makes them suitable for both men and women, making them an ideal gift option.
Cons
  • Not suitable for all-season wear, limited to colder temperatures

Very comfortable, no itch.

These socks have a nice soft feel, no itchy fibers and a good price. The fit was as expected with the elasticity in the material making them very comfortable to wear.

Pros
  • Athletic Socks
Cons
  • Socks may slide down during physical activity, causing discomfort

They feel really nice

They are a perfect fit very well made nice and soft. All the seams and stitches are nice you can't feel them. The moisture waking is nice it works well. They don't fall down in your boots and they don't feel super tight.

Pros
  • The versatile design is suitable for a variety of outdoor sports and activities, including skiing, trekking, and hiking.
Cons
  • Socks may lose shape over time

Very nice quality merino wool (1/3 merino wool) socks

Note, these are about 1/3 marino wool along with a mix of nylon, acrylic, polyester and elastane. Its nearly impossible to get 100% wool socks these days, so no expectation of that with these. These have good amount of merino wool and they are warm and soft. Very nice socks, if you are looking for something mid height.

Pros
  • Perfect for winter shoveling.
Cons
  • Poor quality materials used in construction

Wonderful socks good for me

I have begun wearing merino wool socks as much as possible. These socks are thicker than some others I have, so these are more geared toward cooler weather. I haven't hiked in them yet, but they have been great using as casual socks in hiking-style boots. They keep my feet warm and dry.

Pros
  • Clothing
Cons
  • Not suited for high-intensity activities, such as running or cycling

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Thick and comfortable

These socks are thick and cushy and a little bigger than I expected but still fit nicely--they are just a little looser than some of my other socks. I can't believe I waited this long to try merino wool socks, but I'm glad I tried these. They wash nicely and are not hot, like you might expect from wool. Happy with this choice.

Pros
  • Made very well with no loose threads and a tight weave. VERY comfortable!
Cons
  • Expensive compared to other similar products on the market

Better than expected

These were better than expected. Very good quality with thick wool. Soft and comfortable. Ideal for hiking. Thanks for attention!

Pros
  • The elastic arch support provides extra stability and comfort throughout the day.
Cons
  • Prone to pilling and shedding
