Review on 3 Pairs Of Merino Wool Hiking Socks For Men And Women - Thermal, Cushioned Socks For Skiing, Trekking, And Outdoor Sports, Ideal For Work by Butros Allen

My new favorite heavyweight sock! It has bested the LL Bean Everyday Chino.

I have grown to appreciate merino wool socks. Ever since LL Bean stopped their lifetime warranty and I get only 1-2 years out of a 2-pack at $13.50 a pair, I’ve started looking elsewhere. The Keecow are 3-pair for $8 a pair, and I may like them even more. They are definitely a bit heavier weight and thicker than the pairs from LL Bean, but they just are delightful.I’ve worn them flying on my paramotor with my Merrell hiking boots, and where other socks let the heat out after about an hour, these socks kept me warm for the entire flight of about 2 hours. I even tried some electric-powered socks and they couldn’t keep me warm!I wear a size US Mens 14 shoe, so I picked up the X-Large, and they fit nicely. I suspect the Large might be a bit too tight, but maybe better for more hiking. My feet do not get clammy, which is awesome, and the Merino wool, despite being only 31% of the sock, seems to do its job of absorbing the moisture and turning that into heat. The construction is good, they feel nice, and they all made it through the laundry without an issue. If you’re looking for a good sock to keep your feet warm, these are great! And I’m a fussy dude when it comes to clothing.

Hamsterpotamus is bored by socks. She has no feet.I, however, I''m a sock snob. There''s really only one brand of sock I buy anymore because of the durability and their lifetime guarantee. But I was willing to take a flyer on these and test them out. They seem nice, but I''ll report back in a year if they fail me in any way.
