Excellent product but a bit salty?

This is the ONLY dog treat my doggie will eat! I have tried all kinds, sizes, tastes, textures, raw vs. cooked and found this one! Our store stopped carrying the ones I used to buy so I looked here on Best Buy and voila - the treats were available. GET them for YOUR dog - I guarantee they will eat them. My picky pom loves these things! So far he has NOT suffered any ill effects but there is a LOT of salt or something in them that makes him drink a lot of water.

Pros
  • Made with high-quality HDP duck meat
Cons
  • Could trigger seizures in certain breeds

My dogs love these on my review.

My dogs have food allergies so the plain duck is great. They will knock you over for one of these. They are, unfortunately, a bit pricey. But if your dogs have food allergies you've got to get some.

Pros
  • January 1, 2005
Cons
  • The high fat content may not be suitable for all dogs

My. Dog. LOVES. These.

First time ordering these. I usually get my dog the Country Kitchen Chicken Jerky or duck jerky, but that brand has been harder and harder to find lately, and ranges from $12 to $18 per 1 lb. bag. This is THREE POUNDS for about $10 per pound and has only ONE ingredient. Duck and only duck. Lula and I are thrilled with this product!

Pros
  • The jerky strips are easy for dogs to chew and digest
Cons
  • May not be suitable for dogs with dental problems

My dog loves it! for my opinion

My dog loves these duck jerky treats. And they are made in the USA so I don't have to worry about possible contaminated meat from China. Worth the extra cost for the safety IMO. Also, 2 lbs is a LOT of jerky. This will last a while. One other thing worth mentioning, the duck jerky I previously bought from the pet store (made in China) had a lot of very hard, sharp ends. I always broke those off because I was worried my dog may choke on them since she eats them so fast. These don't have such…

Pros
  • My dogs LOVE these. Surprisingly they dont cause alergies with my pups either. Everything usually does.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for dogs with kidney problems

My dog's love these and they are made in the USA. Package is not reclosable. Have to rebag to stay fresh Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • All-natural ingredients ensure that dogs are getting a wholesome snack
Cons
  • Not ideal for dogs with a history of stomach issues

Great for allergy sensitive pups

I have a Plott Hound who is allergic to beef, chicken, turkey, lamb, etc. So I'm trying Duck and it seems to be fine. These are expensive, but they are so far not causing an allergic reaction. He loves them too.

Pros
  • Owners can feel good about giving their dogs a 100% natural treat
Cons
  • May not be suitable for dogs on a low-fat diet

Great treats! The dogs in my neighborhood love them too but getting a little expensive feeding them all :) Speaking for my boys. “We love them”!

Pros
  • Speaking for my boys. "We love them"
Cons
  • Not ideal for dogs with sensitive teeth

What's really nice is that I know that it won't make him .

This is my dog's go to treat and he will accept no substitute. What's really nice is that I know that it won't make him sick since it's made in the USA.

Pros
  • Pet Supplies
Cons
  • May not be suitable for dogs with heart issues

Our dogs love them but what we like

Our dogs love them but what we like, there are thinner strips which allow us to give more treats which makes treats more economical and last a lot longer. This is our second or third time we have purchased from the company and we highly recommend this product.

Pros
  • Suitable for dogs of all sizes and breeds
Cons
  • The price may not be affordable for all pet owners

we were disappointed that our 14 lb

Having ordered many bags of the HDP duck jerky, we were disappointed that our 14 lb. deer Chihuahua has refused to eat this latest batch. They are much thicker and darker, with a different smell about them. Could this be the result of new importing from China, as detailed in another review last fall? I have ordered one more bag, hoping this is just a 'one-off' and will update this review after receipt later in the week. He used to have no problem with the Dogswell Happy Hips Duck treats…

Pros
  • My dogs go crazy for these treats. Comes with a lot for a good price and smelly.
Cons
  • The high protein content may not be suitable for all dogs

Not what it says it is.

This product is Made in China. And it is not JUST duck as it claims. It also has Sorbitol, Starch, Salt, and vegetable glycerin. I only gave it two stars because the dogs love them, but I'm still uncomfortable that it's misrepresented.

Pros
  • The only thing I disliked was the thickness of the thickness of the product.
Cons
  • Can cause upset stomach if given in excess

Pros
  • My dog loves duck. I need to order more for her she is almost out.
Cons
  • Could cause diarrhea if given in excess

Dogs love them good for me

I usually buy a different brand. My dogs like these much better. Price is about the same So I will stick with these in the future.

Pros
  • The zip-lock packaging ensures that the treats remain fresh
Cons
  • Could cause dehydration if given excessively

Bamboozled! - my new review

So, when I received these, I noticed the packaging had changed - didn't think too much of it other than HDP was rebranding themselves a bit. Then, when I opened the bag, I noticed that the strips looked differently, which caused me to take a deeper look at the bag. And there it was "Made In China." I feel bamboozled. I started purchasing these because they were made in the USA and because of all the issues coming out of China with regard to dog treats and renal failure. The real tragedy…

Pros
  • 32 ounces of jerky strips provide a long-lasting treat
Cons
  • The texture may lead to excessive salivation

My keeshond loves these, although there hasn't been a food yet that she doesn't love. These are pure duck, a bit hard and brittle which is fine for her teeth, have no offensive odor and made in the USA if one believes the label. They are minimally processed, not formed with other ingredients. I think the price was reasonable for the package. I WILL REORDER THESE. I formerly ordered Cadet brand but they are made in China and I am not taking chances with my dog.

Pros
  • My dog loves these.
Cons
  • The packaging is not environmentally friendly

These are $13.00 a pound

My dogs love these, and God knows i spoil them like crazy, but common sense in all things. i bought T bone steaks and New York strip steaks this past week for $6.97 and $5.97 a pound. Rib Eye steaks (my favorite) were $12.99/pound. I wouldn't dream of feeding my steak to the dogs, sharing some, sure, but not cooking them steaks. But I may as well and I will before i buy any more of these duck treats.

Pros
  • Dogs love the satisfying crunch of these chewy treats
Cons
  • The jerky strips may be too hard for puppies to chew on

Our dogs' favorite treat

We have been buying the duck jerky strips for our golden lab (the perfect dog) and chihuahua pug terrier mix (he looks like a giant baked potato). Despite the buffet bar of dog treats on the counter, this is their favorite treat. There are no additives, chemicals and it is made in the USA.

Pros
  • My dogs love these, just wish they were bit bigger and thicker.
Cons
  • Strong odor may not appeal to some owners or dogs

Best Duck Jerky Strips around

I have bought the American made Duck Jerky Strips before and would not use any other product for my dogs. Service is outstanding and have had no problems with ordering or shipping. Product is first class! Thank you.

Pros
  • Oven Rosted
Cons
  • Could cause pancreatitis if given in large amounts
