these lights would be PERFECT if they weren't so fragile!

i've seen reviews for these lights all over the place and i've wanted to try them for ages. upon first setting them up, i noticed how thin the light strip itself was, but figured they had to be sturdy for the good reviews they've got! the app control is awesome, the light modes are super customizable, and the lights themselves are bright and crisp. the downside? i should have been more wary of how thin the light strip was. i attached the strip to the underside of my desk, which is two table…

Really simple smart lighting

Did a bit of research and wanted to stick with one platform for lighting. This really works and it’s really simple. The app has quite a few features for you to schedule the lighting to turn on and off because after a while you’ll get tired of manually turning them on. Added a Cool Touch to My Office

These lights totally changed the vibe in my office. Installation was a breeze with the built in adhesive strips. Instructions for downloading the app were clear and easy to follow. The app itself comes with so many color options and you can pick your own patterns as well. Way more customizable the Phillips Hue lights. My biggest complaint is that I can’t get these to look like a standard warm white light.

I love this strip light! I've wanted to get one for backlighting our TV for a long time but all the good ones seemed to be too expensive. This light though is of pretty good quality for the price. There are on/off buttons on the light along with color change button. I haven't figured out if you can turn it on from the app from your phone, probably not. There are a lot of options to customize the light patterns through the phone app. The app is functional and easy to use. Lights are reasonably bright. There is no physical remote included but it is not really required as the app is much more functional.

No quick disconect in my review

There is not a quick disconnect from the lights to the switch (which uses adhesive to attach to wall) with lights on my monitor and switch stuck to wall I was not able to move my monitor without tearing off adhesive. Results were a broken monitor.

Bought this for my desk. I had tried before with a cheap LED strip and it kept falling off due to poor adhesion and, more concerning, it was clearly quite cheap and eventually the control module that it had literally burned up. Not worth the cost good for me

It cost too much to not be wifi enabled. The lights are beautiful, but I suggest getting a wifi enabled one. We replaced this strand with a wifi enabled one and really like it.

I was under the impression that all Govee products could connect to Alexa/Google Home. This is not the case. Everything else is perfectly fine.

For My Daughter best in my review

I got these for my daughters but because mainly one of them has chronic anxiety and appreciates light therapy. It is really benefitting myself because I enjoy watching the lights and they make the environment feel safe.

Govee always delivers top notch products to its users and this one definitely doesn’t disappoint! The amount of designs you can have on these rgbic strips are endless. I have had other company led strips in the past and I have to say they did not last long before segments would start going bad. I have since changed all my led lighting to Govee.
