Received non-working part. An immediate replacement was required so eventually we went to the store, the confirmed part was not good.

I bought this product with the illusion of repairing my daughter's Nintendo 3 DS. Didn't work, splash screen didn't match and was very bad. I do not recommend buying this product.

I have ordered two of these items. The first one I received looked ok. When I took it out of the box, I noticed that some adhesive remained on the bezel and the ribbon cable was slightly damaged. The cable broke during installation. I didn't even pull hard because I realized it was damaged. I had to re-order the item as it was the only item that was supposed to arrive the same day. The second one also had a lot of glue residue. I installed it and it worked, but the screen quality is a bit poor.

Perfect for my sons 3ds xl (not new 3ds version) and the top screen works great. Unfortunately, I broke my camera cable trying to reel in those flat wires, but they can't take too much abuse, and we went down that route last year by replacing the housing. Screen quality looks just as good as the original screen and 3D works fine. You must reuse the clear plastic protective layer from the old screen. YTTL was the supplier I bought from. The packaging was excellent: the foam padding inside the box was cut around the ribbon cable to allow it to lay flat in the box and not get bent or damaged. The replacement screen fits my 3DS XL (Super Mario Bros 2 Limited Edition Red) and works great. The old screen had a huge crack (see attached picture) so it worked again. The replacement screen was packaged very well in a foam tray. The included screwdrivers and screen protectors were a nice touch. The actual replacement process was painful, but blame Nintendo!
