Very fine abrasive. You won't feel the abrasive, but it definitely works with car paint. I've used it wet by hand and the results are impressive.

This paper lasts much longer than the cheaper paper I've tried sanding a clear coat on a new paint job. I would recommend getting an interface pad as it evens out the sanding pressure so you are less likely to scratch and snag on the edges of the panels.
