This product works very well but takes practice. I'm an artist and I do the framing myself. Installing a vapor barrier is difficult. That simplifies things a bit. A tip: when you reach the end of the ledge, release the lever and pull hard. Otherwise the glue will hang from the edge and it will be difficult to restart. All in all a very good tool.

I bought a cheaper Scotch ATG applicator but like I said you get what you pay for. The cheaper one never applied smoothly and wouldn't unwind the protective tape, so I had to periodically stop and unwind it by hand. This missed the goal of having a donor. This works like a dream. It applies the tape smoothly and rolls up the protective tape as it should. Don't waste your time with a cheap model.

A very expensive but very useful tape applicator. I suppose you could just stick tape from a roll like some professional framers do, but I'm clumsy and would have been lucky if I didn't get tangled in a roll of double-sided tape in the process. .This applicator is easy to use and allows you to apply archival quality double-sided tape to your projects. I use this to frame photos and add a dust cover on the back. This leaves a very professional finish to the work. -1 star for the price.

. This is a great and easy solution for artists. I've used it to mount digital prints onto wooden panels. This saved me from using toxic spray glue or other messy assembly methods. I'd give it 5 stars apart from the fact that it's a bit difficult to download - I had to watch the company's video multiple times to get it working on every reboot, and even then it was finicky. I'm so happy I went ahead and took a deep breath and then took the plunge. After years of playing around with standard double sided tape and little dots of tape, I finally spent the money on this awesome glue dispenser. The glue isn't really "sticky tape". It's the glue that separates from the paper backing when you apply it with this applicator. I don't care how it works or why it works, just that it works and works very well.
