Only suitable for certain people?

Didn't fit in my case at all. About 10mm too big. I tried putting on a Lowes case, maybe that's why, but I thought they were all the same.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • No power

Not exactly a 3M product?

The product name sounds like a genuine 3M part but I see absolutely no evidence of it. Perhaps paid a high price for a versatile product.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Disappearance

Good seal in complete seal kits

Fits and performs as expected. I change the gasket every time I change the filter, which is about once a year. I struggled and struggled with the pad once, never again. Also, use a food grade silicone lubricant on the seal before inserting it. It's a bit pricey, but it helps seal the gasket and prevent it from sticking together when you tighten the filter housing. Change the damn thing when changing the filter, you'll save yourself a headache!

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion

It's hard to tell if it will fit in the whole house water filtration system.

You will lose sight of the gasket when inserting the filter housing into the threaded area during installation. You pray it fits right the first time. Sometimes it isn't, and you can't tell until you pressure the system. By then it will be too late and you and those around you will get a little wet. Then you need to clean up a bit. The pads are not to blame. If the seals are installed correctly, there will be no leakage. This is a crappy filter housing design from Aquapure.

Pros
  • One year trial version
Cons
  • Available in white only
