Sticks securely to hardwood floors

I recently bought a new 5' x 6' rug for my living room, but I didn't realize it didn't have a non-slip backing. After weeks of trying to stop him from moving across the hardwood floor while someone was using the ottoman or my cats were playing, I decided to give these rug holders a try. They work great! It was very easy to stick them on my carpet and floor and the carpet hasn't moved since. I wasn't sure I would need more than one pack due to the size of the rug, but one in each corner holds up

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Something different

I wish I didn't have carpets

They last on "real" [real, needs waxing every few months] hardwood floors about 6 months - MUCH longer than ANY other sticky carpet glue, EVERY rug I've tried. Getting runners to stay put is a nightmare. I wish I didn't have rugs but my dogs will get hurt so they are runners. These are heavy wool rugs and NOTHING will hold them up. I've tried silicone, bathroom and tile sealant, Gorilla's heavy duty construction adhesive (carpet side only, let it dry then use it as an adhesive), wool carpets…

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • could have chosen a newer model

Best Carpet Fasteners

If you've ever dealt with carpet or carpet tape, you know how well it holds up, or not, or not. And what an enormous pain to apply. These 3M carpet anchors were really cheap in comparison, but what a great product! I used them on a 5ft x 7ft carpet covering slippery laminate. In addition, our pups use this mat as a wrestling mat, landing pad, and finish line while running around the house. So the thing was tested GOOD. If these anchors fail, they will in our house. However, I applied once and…

Pros
  • Consistent Test Results

  • Not the Best

Great for a carpet project!

I am reviewing this review of products I purchased from Revain to complete my project - Mat Grip never frizzes - 3M Mat Grip Strips and original Gorilla Grip. These are great products! I sewed 6 jute rugs together to form a large area rug. I knew it would slip and slide and curl around the edges and my husband would throw it out after the first "ride". We have vinyl floor. to the seams. 2- For cost reasons I only used Gorilla Tape for corners where the handles never curl. Ideal! I think they…

Finally my pets can't get away with my rugs!

So far, so good. I put them on my "Welcome" indoor rug and it's still there. None of my pets can run away with it and that was my main goal. Now they need another indoor welcome mat so I'll buy another one. Velcro is not a traditional fabric fastener, but two double-closing plastic types where up close the velcro looks like micro-mushrooms that roll under pressure between opposing heads of micro-mushrooms and snap once the flat ends come together (under the belly of the mushroom, so to speak) .

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Only available in white
