They last on "real" [real, needs waxing every few months] hardwood floors about 6 months - MUCH longer than ANY other sticky carpet glue, EVERY rug I've tried. Getting runners to stay put is a nightmare. I wish I didn't have rugs but my dogs will get hurt so they are runners. These are heavy wool rugs and NOTHING will hold them up. I've tried silicone, bathroom and tile sealant, Gorilla's heavy duty construction adhesive (carpet side only, let it dry then use it as an adhesive), wool carpets, felt, plastic, various non-plastic materials, literally every option on the market from cheap to very expensive, and these are the things that seem to be the best choices. The first set stayed on the 3 skids and 5x7 covering the hall and entrance for about 6 months of normal use.
