The dimensions of what I received were wrong. Just too big to open. This will prevent the bar from rotating properly even if you force it to do so. Not worth buying.

Perfect replacement for Dyson DC24 reel end cap. Ours melted when the factory reel bearings failed and we had to replace the reel and that end cap.

Expensive but just what I needed to get my dc24 quiet again. My end cap teeth inside have been gouged out by the roller wearing them down. So, my vacuum vibrated and was very noisy. That fixed it! I'm glad to have my quiet Dyson back

This is garbage! I have used the vacuum cleaner several times and the piece is already broken. I contacted the seller and was told there were NO returns or exchanges because I bought "too long ago". If something breaks so easily and so quickly, then it's scrap! and the seller will not help! The original lasted 10 years and this replacement in just a few weeks!

The internal retention mechanism (innermost cylinder) is taller/longer than the original part. This forces you to squeeze the cap on the end of the brush to close the cap. While it may not cause any side effects (I have just started using this item and cannot comment on its longevity), this item does not live up to the specifications of the original item.

Having read warnings in other reviews that the locking mechanism on this plug tends to wear out, I was very careful in removing it. But once I've installed this replacement cover on my Dyson DC24 it looks like I'll never take it off without drilling the lock again.
