I didn't set it to 2 minutes to see if they were accurate but the first thing that caught my eye was that one couldn't see the sand. falls because it is so beautiful. I bought these for downtime so my son can figure out that he has to stay until all the sand has fallen, but since he can't see the sand falling the concept seems lost to him.

The price was right. My kids needed something to help them learn how long to brush their teeth. I got tired of them asking me to set a timer in the kitchen so I bought them. I'm glad there are 4 as I don't know how long they will last. I later found the exact same ones at our local dollar store, so I'll just swap them out for them. It's ok for the money, but nothing special.

This set of four hourglasses included two that showed two minutes but the other two were about 10 seconds less than 2 minutes. At least I could get two that fit what I wanted them for. It's amazing how long two minutes can be when trying to brush your teeth for two minutes. The hourglass is small enough to stand on a bathroom counter next to the sink, and it's handy for keeping track of two long minutes of cleaning.
