I've been looking for Kai sewing scissors for a long time and finally decided on this pair. I love her! Worth every penny! I chose this one because of the lower cost, but I can still try this brand and will switch to another pair later. Maybe a good Christmas present this year?! If you can afford the best, get the best, and in my opinion they are the best.

Surprisingly sharp scissors and very easy to use. The curved handle makes it very easy to keep the scissor blade flat on the cutting surface, allowing for long, clean strokes rather than the short, jerky cuts I'm used to. It's worth the few dollars more they cost. My only complaint is that I wish they came with a blade sheath so they don't get pushed around and possibly cut etc in my travel sewing box. Very good scissors: sharp, light, beautiful and well made. The soft cover of the blade is very handy as the tips are sharp which helps keep it that way. Scissors are valuable. I can't say I was blown away by their sharpness compared to Japanese kitchen knives, but they cost a lot more.
