Very good scissors: sharp, light, beautiful and well made. The soft cover of the blade is very handy as the tips are sharp which helps keep it that way. Scissors are valuable. I can't say I was blown away by their sharpness compared to Japanese kitchen knives, but they cost a lot more. This is my first decent pair of scissors and I used to only use general purpose office scissors for everything so this is a nice upgrade. Be careful with the size: if you really want to open it up completely when cutting, i.e. want to use the largest part of the blade length, you shouldn’t have small hands. My arms are thinner but more of a medium length and I would like to open these scissors a little wider. I'm glad I got this size instead of the longer one I originally wanted and the 8 inch would probably fit my hands perfectly. I was also keen to try the curved scissors as it seemed like a good idea, but to be honest I haven't appreciated this feature yet. The curved scissors won't get in the way, but you still won't cut as accurately the table surface, as you would of course do with a circle cutter, so I'd say the curve gets a little lost for me, maybe because I don't cut miles of fabric Overall - light weight, sharp to the tip of the fabric Scissors - you'll die Don't regret upgrading at a very affordable price.
