I'm pretty sure California is hell, but every time I used this, even when I was under a car cover, my car was just as hot. It was as if I didn't even have it in the window. I can't remember the size I got, but it did fit just fine. I liked the umbrella aspect because I can never refold those old school ones. I know its not a miracle worker and would make my car instantly cooler, but I felt it didn't lower the temperature inside at all.

It is really easy to use. It opens like an umbrella and closes the same way. Were good reflecting the sun and keeping the car cooler.

My husband liked mine so much he wanted one for his car too. This product is SO EASY to use, opens and closes as simply as an umbrella. We love it and it folds up so compact it's easy to stash out of the way any where in your car. Great buy.

It's a bit cumbersome to maneuvre and get it up against the windshield and one of the supporting metal pieces broke already after using for less than a week. Not sure why or how. Had a windshield sun visor that the corners were held on windshield by suction cups in corners but the eyelets tore out and wanted something easier to put in place and this type works great so far!

Pros :easy to use. Easy to store. Easy to fold and unfold. Fits nicely in my door pocket.It does make a temp difference but doesn’t block tons of heat. It’s enough to not burn myself on the steering wheel and any heat reduction is welcome when it’s 115°.It has good coverage of my large fiat windshield.Cons:the spokes poked through the fabric within weeks. I've owned this for a year now and it is so super easy to use. No problems with it falling down or not covering the whole windshield like with other sun shields. And it folds up so easily and compactly too! I have a Jeep Cherokee and it's so perfectly sized I would buy another if I ever needed to.

As with all of these umbrella sunshades, the wires will quickly be poking out of the ends of the umbrella. There is no proper method used by any of these manufacturers to fix this. A ball on each end would make the fix.

It is a great concept, to make a store-able package for the purpose of blocking the sun through the windshield when the car is parked. It was advertised as appropriate for the VW Atlas, but it is too tall (30") to fit between the bottom of the windshield and the mirror and visors, and not long enough (60") to reach the sides of the glass. The expansion of the umbrella concept requires full expansion to have any structure.

I really like this sunshade. Opens and closes like an umbrella. 100% covers my windshield and dash area. Quick, easy and works like a charm! Also love that it folds up very small and is easy to put away.

I ordered this for my truck since it stays in the weather all the time and wanted to protect my dash and this is so easy to use. My husband saw how easy it was and I had to order one for him. I would recommend this for anyone.

After the first couple of use, this shade is easy to use and convenient. It often took me a long time to fold up the old circular shade, and I wanted a shade that was more compact than the rectangular shades.

It keeps the Car pretty cool but the parts folding and holding the material in place are made of metal and plastic and get extremely hot to the point that I burned my finger/hands. Not recommended for extremely hot climate like Texas. I wish I would have known before my return time had expired to return and replace for another item.

Works great! It doesn’t fit 100%, more like 97%. But the tiny gaps on each side don’t let a lot of light in.It does require that my sun visors come down to hold it in place and it does not fit under my rear view mirror. Even though these points don’t match how the seller describes it to work I still think it’s worth it! Does a great job and is very compact!Warning though…the metal spokes become untouchable hot, so folding it and putting it away can be a pain…literally.

Piece of junk. After only several uses, the flimsy frame broke in 2 separate places making it unusable. It does not u fold smoothly either. It is awkward and inconvenient compared to traditional windshield shades.

It's hard to open, and get around rear view mirror. It doesn't block any more heat than the fold up shades. Not happy for the price.

This looked like a clever idea and worth a try. Ordered multiple sizes for my different vehicles. But, there are no size indication on the packaging, the product, instruction material. Other than taking them both an fitting them to my vehicles, there is no quick & reliable way to differentiate which size is which. in addition to that, the product seems very flimsy & I doubt it will last more than a couple uses. will provide an update upon failure.

I've purchased one of these before so I was confident in purchasing this one however the one I previously purchased has a split with velcro on at the top so I can put it behind my rear view mirror and then velcro it up so it stays in place but this one does not have even a split where your rear view mirror can sort of come down into even though on the card that comes with it it seems to have a little groove cut out in the top of the umbrella once you have it all the way open which would be…

Difficult to open and install in the window and even more difficult to close. Have only used it once and will probably only use it on extremely hot days because it is difficult to use.Edited: I saw a video on how to use this product and realized it does not go behind the mirror but in front of the mirror which made it much easier to use.

For the money and ease of use I like it. It keeps out the heat very well. I wish the arms of folding mechanism where thicker. Doesn't look like it will last long. You can't fold it up easily but with the heat reduction it provides in Florida its great. I would say if it lasts the hot summer, it's worth it. I have a 2017 Maxima and it fits very well.
