Very easy installation in less than 60 minutes. The choke on my 2008 GMC diesel seems to be offset slightly, leaving an opening for heated air under the hood. Reason 4 of 5 is related to this discovery. The block is of good quality.

I installed this intake kit yesterday very easily and quickly on my 2008 Duramax. immediately noticed better throttle response. I will check the fuel consumption in the next few weeks. I use k&n filters in all my cars and they are the best value for money.

Works well. Easy installation with simple tools. I noticed a little more engine noise and harmonics coming from the driver's seat when the engine is idling. I have a feeling it definitely opened up a very clogged engine and intake system. Simply put, it did what it promised and works well.

I bought one of these for my gas powered Chevy pickup when I had it and didn't get more torque but got back the fuel economy that was lost lifting it up. I bought this for my new Chevy and have definitely seen the impact on the performance and mileage of my 2008 Chevy Duramax. Put it on and WOW, a noticeable difference in torque and an overall 2-3mpg improvement. Thanks to K&N for a great product and of course a million mile filter that only needs an occasional cleaning.

K&N sells scrap on this air intake. It's very difficult to access a top cover screw (some reviewers just missed it). To remove and reinsert the filter, the inlet pipe must be unscrewed. It is very difficult to fix the inlet pipe with the filter in the box and the filter will not snap into place when the inlet pipe is fully installed. I installed this on a GMC 3500 diesel crew cab yesterday. I paid $50 less than Revain.com when I purchased a "used" item from Revain Warehouse Deals. The kit was missing two screws, four washers and three star washers. Everything else was included and not previously installed. The filter was still sealed in the plastic bag and box.
