Great haze filter

There's no point in putting flimsy glass in front of a good lens. You lose any benefit of good optics. Therefore, a haze filter has many uses: removing UV haze (haze that you may not see but blurring your landscape) and protecting your lens from fingerprints, dust, dirt and moisture. The +W filters are made of ground optical glass (Schott I think) which makes them optical rather than windowed. The filter ring is made of brass, which makes it easy to remove (these filters have very thin threads…

Quality glass made in Germany.

Probably one of the best UV haze filters I've ever bought for a camera. if not the most expensive of the kind. However, quality and accuracy come at a slightly higher price and when it comes to optical glass you generally get what you pay for. The application of this filter is to fit on the lens of a FujiFilm Bridge camera and essentially provide dust protection. , fingerprints and other accidental contamination. None of my old 35mm film camera filters are 58mm filters, so it's time to go…

THE BEST UV FILTERS DON'T COST MUCH MORE THAN THE CHEAPEST

I'm a big fan of B+W Clear UV Haze filters. I order a filter with every new lens I buy and put the filter on before the lens is mounted on the camera for the first time. It kept my photos and lenses pristine. I tried comparing AB with and without a filter to see if it degrades the quality of the photos from my Canon 5D MkIII. If anything, photos look better with a black and white filter (probably due to UV spectrum elimination). Everything about these black and white filters exudes quality, the

UV filter for Canon 50mm 1.4 lens

58mm B+W bought for the new Canon 50 1.4 lens. I make sure my new lenses get a new high quality filter when I open the box for the first time. It fits perfectly and has the look and feel of a professional quality product. With all the UV filter options available, this can be confusing. but there are a few names you can trust. One of them is B+W. This filter lives up to its name "Pro" in design and function. The filter ring body is made of brass, not plastic, and the multi-coated glass is very…

Excellent filter with excellent coverage.

The filter arrived within 2 days as promised by Revain, undamaged but the plastic box had a cracked/crushed corner as the filter came in a flimsy envelope. Not amused. About the filter. The filter is beautifully designed. It's definitely heavier than the similar (58mm) Hoya HMC and also the old Tiffen I have laying around. The reflections on the front are very similar or identical to the Hoya and far superior to the Tiffen. The thread is smooth and the filter fits easily into the front of the…
