Works instantly! - Tips

Great product! Carbon deposits on the iron tip are annoying and make good soldering almost impossible. This product instantly restores the functionality of your soldering iron and saves you the hassle of changing tips. Simply heat up the iron as usual and clean the tip before dipping in the R&R lotion. A quick swipe tins the tip and you'll be back to work in no time! Will recommend and buy again!

Pros
  • No Halides, No Residue, No Rosin
Cons
  • Can't remember

Ideal for light tip maintenance

Facilitates re-tinning of irons as rosin solder does not need to be used and rosin corrodes the tip. Solder, clean, use this product, install in the bracket. If you want to re-solder, just clean it up, add fresh solder and go. It almost doesn't smell and I don't find the resulting smell very unpleasant. The product is very small and filled to the brim with solids. It should take a while though, since you'll be using very little of it each time you can.

Pros
  • Designed to extend tip life
Cons
  • Wrinkled

Works well. Used in Welding and Soldering

When I received these soldering iron tins I was a bit surprised at how hard the consistency was compared to the tin tips I have used in the past. Once you get used to its properties, you'll find that rolling a hot iron in this tin can works best. With old tinkerers, I put the iron in the vat to tin the tip. He did an excellent job of tinning the tip of the iron. The tinning also looks quite solid. This means I don't have to puddle as often. Deducted 1 star as this material smells strongly of…

Pros
  • Lead Free IC Tin
Cons
  • Very Expensive
