Exactly as described. Great for my 10 gallon tank. If I had a larger tank I would recommend investing in a slightly more powerful irrigation system for optimal waste removal.

Pack sounded like sand or charcoal (yes) in the pack! And there was charcoal from the filters, but hopefully the filters are still working!

As another reviewer said, carbon was everywhere. It was all loose in the box and was pouring/oozing out of the box. The price was great, but it could have been a marriage.

The first packaging was damaged during transport. The replacement was pretty shabby too, but came. Should have been sent in a box, not a plastic envelope. Cartridges had to be washed before use, but none broke.

I had another pump that was not working as it should. I bought a Marineland pump and these are the perfect replacement filters. Original brand and better price than pet stores. Thanks Revin for the great suggestion. I will buy again.

These filters filter well but I wish they were more eco-friendly. They would be more effective if I could clean them up for reuse. They leave black marks on the fabric that sometimes get into the tank. They clean the tank well.
