As others have noted the magnet that holds the remote to the wall is very weak and falls off the stand easily. I've had two breaks in less than a month, absolute garbage draft.

Modern Forms fans are equipped with Bluetooth or RF connectivity. Obviously not interchangeable. I ordered BT and it didn't work. The RF remote works great. The return went smoothly. Contact customer service using modern forms to find out what you have. They would be helpful and friendly.

This remote was used on my new fan for about 3 weeks before it ripped off the magnetic mount. He fell on the tile floor and broke the bracket holding the batteries in place. This cannot be fixed. This fan cost $400 and I hope this POS remote doesn't give an indication of how the fan will perform over time.

Bought to replace the original which broke after 2 months... this one broke after 2 weeks. A $50 remote should be more durable than this one. Both remotes had the same problem - they also used a cheap metal spring to hold the battery in place which died in the remote. Not a manufacturer issue, this is a Modern Forms product issue.

The batteries for this remote are attached with cheap glue which will cause the bracket to detach and stick to the internal magnets once the remote is dropped. I had to buy this remote control several times because it breaks so easily. If you have a Modern Forms fan with Bluetooth, this is the remote you need. And it works fine until you drop it and break it again.

The design of the (weak) magnet for holding the remote to the base (on the wall) is not very good. It took less than 48 hours for someone to line it up just right and it fell onto the tile. broke the internal metal bracket holding the battery to the circuit board. UPDATE: I bought a second remote and it worked for two weeks, after that I had the same problem. Feeling of a weak magnet base and battery attachment points were breaking off.

The first remote fell off one day and the connectors holding the batteries came loose rendering it inoperable. A drop. I tried regluing it but I couldn't get it to work. Bought another remote control. It arrived with already defective plugs. I'm going to buy another remote and hope it arrives safe and sound, and then I'll have to treat it like a fragile piece of glass. This remote control is too fragile and there are no other options.
