Not perfect but close and with a hidden bonus

First off, I just need to talk about the Elephant in the room and it’s this: this unit is *heavy*. So heavy that when I hang it inside my tent it pulls the top center down and lets rainwater form a puddle there.Other than that, I love using this thing! Having an extendable external antenna is a real convenience; it still won’t tune in weaker FM stations, but the ones it can receive sound good, even though the speaker is tiny. The WB (Weather Band) stations come in cleanly and are easy to tune…

Pros
  • The 6000mAh battery ensures that you have plenty of power to charge your devices or listen to the radio for extended periods
Cons
  • The device requires regular maintenance to keep it functioning properly

Innovative, but poor quality and larger than expected

I bought this to carry in my Motorhome for emergencies, As it turns out, I'll be keeping it at home becuase of it's large size. What I like about it.- They have really done a nice job fitting alot of features into this device. It has a light that has three levels of brightness. When closed the light is a cool, almost blue tint. The light flips up and the back side is much warmer probably better for some tasks. The radio has two modes.weather band and FM. When the antenna is raised i was able to…

Pros
  • Electric Lanterns
Cons
  • The LED light is too dim to provide adequate illumination for camping

Every Function Works; A Must Have in Every Home

I tried to find something wrong with the Crank Radio, and I couldn't. The directions impressed me most. They were clearly written and easily understood.Every function on the Crank Radio worked. I turned the crank for a couple minutes and charged my phone from 80% to 100%. I'm in a dead zone, yet I was able to move around the house and find the perfect spot to hear FM and Weather Band (WB) stations. I loved the reading light. It's intensity can be changed. The solar panel on the back can be…

Pros
  • 1.96 pounds
Cons
  • The hand crank is stiff and difficult to use, making it challenging to generate enough power

Ideal for NOAA Weather Update

This NOAA radio is everything. I really like it because it is lightweight, easy to carry with its convenient handle. It has 7 NOAA channels, neat light, has hand crank (if you want exercise cause you will be cranking a long long time to charge). The lights on this are super handy and I can charge my phone with it also. I especially like how long the antenna is, making it easier to pick up a NOAA signal as I am in DC (Deep Country).

Pros
  • Camping & Hiking
Cons
  • The buttons on the device are too small and difficult to press

A Must Have for Hurricanes and Grid Down scenarios

This is a very bright reading light or emergency light. It has 4 different options on the lighting level including a Max that is blinding! So you won’t be in the dark with this bad boy !It comes with a stand that clips on or you can carry it with the top plastic handle that extends for bigger hands and more of a lantern style .it has AM/FM radio , WB and it has a crank on the side in case all H . breaks loose. It also has a solar panel to be able to charge it by the sun.So if the zombie…

Pros
  • The SOS signal allows you to alert others in case of an emergency, ensuring that you can stay safe and secure no matter where you are
Cons
  • The device lacks advanced features such as Bluetooth connectivity and voice control

Must have! on my review.

This is a great tool to have in the car or on a camping trip. It has everything you need, the radio the SOS and of course access to the weather and emergency signals. Plenty of lights the charging docks for phones and devices. Tested it all out and it all works as intended. The only criticisms I have are that the buttons for the lights are really hard to press. and the crank seems a little flimsy I am always scared that i might over power it and snap it. But I am happy with the Emergency Radio,

Pros
  • This solar-powered hand crank radio is ideal for a wide range of uses, including camping, emergency situations, and everyday use
Cons
  • The build quality is subpar, with cheap and flimsy materials

Nice. Survival Gear.

I have a couple of these multi-purpose radio/lanterns/lamps/lights. This one is my favorite, now. The Fit and Finish is nice for the Price. Some features I like, The hand crank, SOS alarm, light Lantern/Reading Lamp, NOAA WeatherStation, capable of charging your small electronics, solar panel and AAA battery backup. It does not feel cheap. The stand feels cheap but the unit feels good. I like it has a retractable antenna. I really enjoy it has a handle crack just in case for a jolt of energy…

Pros
  • Sports & Outdoors
Cons
  • The emergency signal is not loud enough to be heard in noisy environments

Packed with Features and Uses 4 Energy Sources

I chose this particular emergency weather station radio flashlight because I thought that the tall silhouette (vs. a horizontal orientation) would make it easier to use the light function in a variety of situations, plus it provides 4 ways to power it. This product has a lot of great features – it kind of ‘does-it-all’ for an emergency situation.WHAT I LOVE: 1) So many functions – Radio, weather band, warm light reading lamp, cool light lantern, carrying handle, base stand for tabletop use…

Pros
  • Outtdoor
Cons
  • The instructions are poorly written and difficult to follow

Emergency kit must have!

This solar hand cranked radio is a nice investment in emergency preparation. I have this in the car, with a first aid kit, & wildness survival bag. I feel like car breakdowns, camping, and end of world scenarios would all play out better if you have this emergency solar crank radio, charger, flashlight handy. It comes partially powered up & crank powers as well. I set it in a well lit window to charge the rest of the way via solar. Good deal & a must have for lifesaving or just in case…

Pros
  • The built-in LED lantern provides a convenient and efficient way to light up your campsite or living space
Cons
  • The device is not compatible with all radio frequencies, limiting its usability

I chose the Givoust Portable Solar/hand crank Weather Radio as I felt it had the most features available on this type product. After getting it I am glad I did! It not only meets all my needs but it is well made, can be used to read by with a LCD display that has a large capacity 6000mAh power source, with dual USB ports plus it uses 3 Lithium Ion batteries included. Anyone who has been caught in a bad storm without a weather radio will tell you how important it is to have one as usually we…

Pros
  • Phone charger
Cons
  • The device is not intuitive to use, requiring extensive trial and error

So far, so good - my new review

At first I thought that the reading light didn't want to work, but it needs a soft and slightly longer press to turn on. Everything else works as advertised, and I am getting a weather band station to come in fairly good even inside the house which is tough to do. This is a large light, not something you tuck into a back pack. The battery indicator goes down to three each time I turn it on, but when I plug it in it says full. So I cannot vouch for battery life at this point because I have not…

Pros
  • The NOAA weather broadcast ensures that you can stay up-to-date with the latest weather conditions, even if you don't have access to the internet or a TV
Cons
  • The device emits a high-pitched noise that can be annoying and irritating

Another Great Emergency Radio

I wanted a backup emergency radio and found this beauty. I really like the fact that its also has a powerful solar hand crank radio. It has a very powerful and bright lamp in the event of a blackout, a loud SOS alarm, and a very good and clear radio connection for access to local weather and other stations. You also have the option to use batters if you choose (3AAA), but again, you have the hand crank and solar option too. Not only that, but you can charge most USB devices. If you're into…

Pros
  • 3 Lithium Ion batteries required. (included)
Cons
  • The device is heavy and bulky, making it difficult to transport

This will come in SO handy!

You know, this is a great thing to have along in the car, in a bug-out bag, in a storage room, in a tree house, and especially anywhere there are no cell towers. When your phone is dead, you can get stations with this radio. Charge it by C cord or charge it by sun. It comes 50% charged, and when I turned it on, a station was already dialed in. There is a white light in 4 intensities, and you can open it up and it turns into a WARM light. Choice! I don’t know how much I’d have to crank it to get

Pros
  • Hand crank option
Cons
  • There are no replacement parts available, making repairs difficult

Pleased with this emergency radio

The only reason I bought this is to deal with emergencies that may happen at any time. I live in an area with tornadoes, strong winds, floods and lots of thunderstorms. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare an emergency radio in the emergency box.The reception of this radio amazed me. All the radio signals are clear, even NOAA. There is also a reminder mode of weather warning. There are also four blue power indicators, which will prompt the remaining power of the radio, so that I can recharge…

Pros
  • In my apocalypse tote. Couple cranks and light comes on. Perfect for a one to two day disaster.
Cons
  • The solar panel is not powerful enough to fully charge the battery in a reasonable amount of time

Expecting smaller hand radio

The radio is perfect for camping. I’m going to be honest I was expecting a small radio but surprisingly it is a good size. The light is bright and the radio is loud.

Pros
  • Lanterns
Cons
  • The battery life is shorter than advertised, requiring frequent recharging
