I have a 1988 Suburban 350 that I have fitted this item to. I get about 1.5-2mpg when towing. I went from 8mpg to 9.5 or 10mpg. This forces the engine to work on long climbs on very steep slopes. I think it's because it's not a cool intake system. Draws in hot air from the engine compartment. Whether the mileage in the city has increased without my 28-foot trailer is still questionable. I had one of those little 10 inch Edelbrock Pro-Flos you can buy at Autozone that I replaced with this one and it's absolutely massive compared to the Edelbrock.
