PLMR692 Dual Marine Speakers: 6x9 Inch, Waterproof, 260 Watt Power, Outdoor Audio Stereo Sound System - 1 Pair Review

I can't use them, I've tried installing them in the 6x9 spot where my pioneers were, but they're too bulky to fit the hole. I can't rate the sound and value because I haven't used them, but I'll give the grade 1 due to the wrong size.

Bought a pair of PLMR692 6X9 speakers to replace an old set of worn out PYLE 6X9 speakers and oh my god they didn't fit the cut out for the old 6X9. I assume all 6X9 speakers aren't exactly the same size? I had to trim a bit, but I picked up a new 6X9. Not much to brag about the sound quality, but they worked as intended. It would be nice if the speaker wire connectors were spring loaded.

At first they worked great and sounded really good, we installed them on our boat. Then after about a week or two the speakers sound burned out and they barely work, my husband threw them away although they could be sent back to get our money back he said not even worth bothering with. It would have been nice if they lasted longer than they did the first time, I couldn't believe I paid so much for them they didn't work amazingly

Excellent! Bought these with a matching 5 1/2" and a 1000 watt Pyle amp. A friend had to win tension and a person. It's unreal how loud and clear this system is. I have them in my Thompson boat and it's amazing to be able to play this system while i cool off in the water boat only about 1/2 way when cruising too noisy if you want a very good system at a great price stick to the above!

Installed on my 1996 Windjet, I've done this for a living and know what a perfectly tuned speaker should sound like. This is NOT a perfectly tuned speaker. High frequencies are tinny, it only effectively reproduces low frequencies up to about 60 Hz. But for my boat they are perfect: I use an iPhone, a JBL MA6004 4 channel amp, slide in 2 of these speakers and 2 stacks of 6.5" PLMR60W marine speakers, they all sound decent. Music is louder than I need, works 60 miles an hour without a windshield

First off, this is NOT the audiophile gear that Pyle has been making for years past. The name seems to have been bought by a Chinese company. However, I just needed an inexpensive waterproof audio system for my boat. I bought a cheap Pyle head unit and picked them up. These speakers are NOT 40 ounce magnets. These speakers sound damn good. Now I can really feel the vibrations in the seats they are installed in. The back is slightly larger than the polks I replaced and will require additional sawing. never mind The included cable is not worth the space it takes up in the box. Get a good 16 or 18 ga cable and make sure the quick connectors you have will fit the speaker studs! I get four stars because the quality is not the best but the value for money is excellent. The fact that I paid around $30 for two speakers to fit my boat is amazing to me, I don't expect better speaker quality but it really does the job so if all you can do is get cheap decent speakers for my boat want those that work and would definitely recommend but be aware that you won't get quality sound out of the speakers if you turn the volume all the way up, they get a little distorted but I still…

I wrote the same review about matching speakers in a different size. We have one set in the cockpit and another one on the aft deck. If you plan to gig on your boat these speakers may not be for you, but for general boat use they are as good as any I've heard or used for around the same price. A good audio system with bass and reverb controls makes more sense than driving up the price in search of better sound.
