Super bright lens for the money. Gives images a nice vintage wide open feel due to distortion at the edges and imperfect focus, creating cold red highlights when the camera is pointed at the sun. If you close it to f2 or higher, the focus is nice and clear. The lens is really compact, feels solid and I like the silver finish. Highly recommended.

It was difficult to install at first: you have to use extra force and I was afraid of scratching the camera as the lens mount has sharp edges. Unfortunately, once fitted, the lens dangles in place and some contacts may shorten as I have a black screen every other time. The quality of the optics is normal, but the m43 mount needs some work, polishing and better quality control. I don't want to damage my camera by checking it further and the lens is going back to Revain.

I really like this lens, it's very similar to the Zeiss Jana 1.8 I've used on my MFT cameras with adapter but it fits right in so it's much lighter and more compact. It feels solid and the focus and aperture rings are smooth with reasonable drag. The lens cap has a lining to keep it in place and it looks like it's going to stay in your camera bag.
