Takes quality photos, especially for the price. It took me a while to learn as it was my first macro lens and also my first manual focus lens. Very strong and built almost entirely out of metal which is amazing. Bought a newer or similar macro slider and bam, good photos.

These lenses messed up my 1.5 year old a6400 during one of my walks in the local park. The entire lens was stuck in my camera body so I couldn't change lenses, even at nearby stores. i want to work on my camera because "never skimped on lenses you get what you pay for" now my a6400 is stuck as a macro camera.

Macro lens for Sony APS mirrorless bodies. Focusing from infinity to 1:1 for stamps, coins and jewellery. Outstanding resolution. Slight color fringes in the corners (fixed well in Lightroom: Develop module, Lens Correction panel, enable Remove Chromatic Aberrations). Not surprisingly, the best aperture for close-up and macro photography is f/5.6 rather than wide open.

Definitely one of the best if not the best macro lens for the money. He takes amazing and breathtaking photos. Although this lens wasn't designed for it, it can capture beautiful portraits. I have included a photo of my eye to demonstrate the clarity and detail of this lens at such an amazing price. Highly recommended. I used a Sony A6100 for my camera and this lens works perfectly with it.

Honestly one hell of a cool lens. It's heavier, but at this price you don't get this performance anywhere else. The minimum focus distance is ideal for close-up photography, while the zoom ratio is ideal for macro photography. Focusing manually is easy, although I recommend using a tripod for easier focusing as it's very shaky. Overall very happy with this purchase. Check out some sample photos I took of him. Keep in mind that to get great shots at higher apertures, you need a lot of light.
