For the price. This is really great glass. For those new to macro photography, you will need extra light or flash when shooting at 1:1. it's strong Smooth; smooth. And I definitely want to see more affordable glass from this brand.

These are great value for money and a good start into macro photography. The corners in the frame are blurry as other reviews have noted and it's best to use a tripod as it's difficult to maintain focus. However, once properly focused, still images look pretty convincing.

I love this macro lens. It's a bit clumsy, but I found it helped a bit with handheld macro stability. I like the picture quality, but I'm not a professional. Overall I'm more than happy with the lens for the price.

This lens is not designed for the smallest sizes. I bought it to scan film on a lightboard. Hanging vertically. After a while the lens started to shake, with part of the lens moving when it wasn't supposed to. This makes it difficult to focus as it moves. I still use it but the workflow takes longer.

full manual focus is very easy to use. It takes just over half a turn to go from infinity to close focus. Takes sharp pictures, at full aperture (F2.8) the depth of field is very shallow. At 60mm (90mm FF=) it can be used but is barely fully open. Buy a tripod. Handshakes are incredibly enhanced even at a fast shutter speed.
