The switch arrived at my home in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico broken. Too many problems for a return. I was able to glue the washer in since the clip was broken and it worked. I donated a washing machine to the poor and didn't want to do it with a bypass switch as it would be dangerous.

This item is the weakest link in the Whirlpool and Kenmore right hand washers. You open the lid to stop the cycle to adjust the weight of the laundry, basically the contacts on the micro switch are a joke. I'm going to bypass this switch and use a timer to disable it. This problem is Whirlpool and Kenmore's problem, they should fix it.

As other reviewers have pointed out, I received an item that is different from the photo. It is made of blue plastic and has different dimensions and not the same tolerances as the original OEM part. Check out my video. I wasted weeks of my time and my mom's time fixing her car, waiting for it to arrive, realizing it wouldn't work, and getting my money back. Avoid this item.

The part shown as part on Revain fits my washing machine. However, the part that was shipped to me was about a half inch shorter on the side operated by the lid lever, so the lever will never operate that switch. That's not what was in the photo so they gave me something I didn't order and because of that I'm still without a washing machine. photos ahead.

I opened the washing machine when my daughter thought it was leaking. Turns out it was just overcrowded and the water was spurting out of the tub. But when opening the car I tried to remove the switch with the lid closed and it broke. I called my local hardware store and they charged $40 for the switch. Quick check on Revain and I found this for less than 1/4 the price. Perfect fit, easy installation.

There is always a risk buying parts or similar products here as many different suppliers fulfill orders - they change all the time. In this case I got a poorly made fake that didn't fit the mounting hole well enough to work properly. Since ordering these I have traveled several hours and 30 miles to help my father-in-law with the washing machine. I just went to a local, established part of the business and got a real hot tub counter for a few bucks more.
