Build Quality Good, works on PC and MiSTer

Although sold as a 'PC Engine Mini' mat, it looks good although feels a little light and works on both Windows 10 PCs as well as on a MiSTer FPGA device. The price is worth it, especially if you like NES or TG-16 games. The lack of an OG-style adjustable turbo stinks, but at least for these shooters, you GET a turbo!

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Too long to wait

Good controller but a bit small in my hands

This is a good controller but it feels a bit small in my hands. Those with larger hands who need wireless connectivity might consider the Sega Genesis Retrobit controller instead (yes, it works). Another 2.4GHz 8-bit controller also works with the included USB adapter. Turbo buttons seem fine to me, although switches would be nice.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Worked immediately!

I bought this for my TurboGrafx 16. Works instantly! Immediately paired with the supplied key. There is no noticeable lag. My only criticism of the controller is that it should have turbo sliders instead of buttons. If 8bitdo (or any other company) ever does an overhaul with sliders I will buy 5 of them. But until then, this controller is definitely recommended for wireless freedom.

  • Great for a small house

Great controller, but there's a trick you need to know!

Pros: Just the right size Convenient home button is great for a mini battery Quality and finish Cons: Turbo buttons (top row of buttons) are about 66% slower than the turbo setting " 3". the package** *UPDATE*** I have some information from 8BitDo regarding this controller and the slow turbo, there is a trick! Hold Select + II + I (bottom row) buttons for 5 seconds to increase turbo speed to "3", which is very important in games like bonks/shooters that need turbo speed. With that in mind I…

Super Sensitive Diagonals

I got this a few months ago and I quickly checked on my PC and everything was fine. But I finally hooked it up to my TurboGrafx-16 Mini this week and spent some time with it and quickly realized I was too hasty with my first impressions. On the positive side, the controller feels good in my hands and the build quality feels solid. But the killer, which I quickly discovered, is that even the lightest downward pressure when you press right on the d-pad registers as a diagonal. The other three…

Not the size of a real TG16/PC-E controller.

I bought this after working with previous 8bitdo products. The build quality of their products stands out from third-party controllers. So far they've done a phenomenal job of recreating the ergonomics and feel of some OEM controllers (N30, SN30) and improving others (M30). That's what makes this controller so disappointing. real TG16/PC-E controller. It's roughly the same size as the N30. The build quality and buttons still feel good, but the controller feels repurposed compared to the…

Too small, bad D-Pad

Picture from top to bottom: Hori TG Mini Controller, Original Turbo Grafx 16 Controller packed in Turbo Mini Controller, 8Bitdo Wireless Controller I still have my original TurboGrafx- 16 and been playing it for over 25 years - I have a very good idea of what a controller should look like. This wireless option is very, very small, which is its first major downside. The turbo sliders of the original controllers are missing. which I could live with if the D-Pad wasn't so awful. Diagonals are…
