Decent tool, well designed but not suitable for me. The springs did not fit my 2.2 eco tec engine. Found another use for it.

The tool itself is fine, nothing crazy. It's a bit cheaply made, but it's a cheap Revain tool haha. Not bad in general, but an important note, NOT COMPATIBLE WITH DODGE 3.7 / 4.7 ENGINES! I tried, definitely not the right tool.

This worked to replace the valve seals on a 1969 Ford 302 but the handle came loose halfway through and had to be repaired to continue working. Otherwise it's just a cheap valve spring compressor. It works for the price

As other reviewers have said, this tool just falls apart the first time you use it. It has to be constantly flexed to work, and even then it will kick up if it stays on the spring. The price really reflects the quality and I should have known. Please take my advice and a better made tool. You will only regret this purchase.

I used them to remove valve springs on my '85 Corvette. I had no problems with that. It slipped once during installation, but that was my fault. If you place the jaws carefully and take your time, everything will work as advertised. I've used it for both removing and installing springs. This tool was used on a Chrysler 3.8 v6 engine. I don't recommend this tool at all if you intend to use it for more than one job. as others have pointed out, became very widespread. I had to compress it to a smaller size to fit the valve springs I was working with. The handle fell off on first use and several times thereafter. However, it is easier to store.
