The idea is not bad in principle but not realized, I had had velcro sewn to the tarpaulin from the wrong side so it was useless although it might help to keep the tarpaulin wrapped if it so would be in the right place. The buckles are too close together to hold the rope properly, if they were wider maybe the rope wouldn't move as much and you could tighten the straps around the rope.
