The bottom of the charger says the input voltage should be 16V at 600mA. Including power supply 12V 1A. The LED flashed once and never again, even before I put the battery in.

Lost loading tired of looking at the dead radio. I almost choked when I found out the price of a replacement from the dealer. I ordered from Revan. Charging is qualitative, works perfectly.

As the name suggests, there's nothing on the charging cradle to keep the walkie-talkie in contact with the charging contacts. I charge the radio and it moves away from the contacts. The battery without the radio doesn't last either.

Does the Vertex ProV radio fall off when placed end to end on a flat unsupported surface? If so (and most likely yes), then this device will have the same! If you look at the product photo you will see that there is no way to connect the radio to the charger. Update: just discovered that the stand has tiny lugs that fit into slots on the radio to secure it while charging - the rating has been changed from one star to five!

I removed the bottom cover and found what appears to be a smart charging circuit. There was no marking on the main chip, but given the complexity of the circuitry, I would assume that this is a full-fledged smart charger and not just timed charging. I'm using this with a Yaesu VX-170 with good results, much better than the factory wart charger. The included power supply is a 12V 1A power supply with ferrite, which is nice.

Bought this and 2 other NIMH batteries for the Yaesu FT-60R. Before charging, I checked the voltage on the elements of 7.2V, on the elements of 7.83V. I put it in the charge, the red light came on immediately. 1100mah batteries charged about 1/2 hour, green light on. The camera gets a little warm when charging, much colder than some others. The power supply and charger are great. Charge with green light for 30 minutes, so charge too. Removed the cell and waited 10 minutes to check the voltage…

I bought this charging station to use with my Yaesu FT-60R radio. The docking station and power supply came in a plain brown box. Nothing special, but we will be protected. No instructions are included, but it's easy to use, especially if you have other radios that use the charging dock. I love that the dock has a charge indicator (red) to let you know it's charging. The LED turns green once the charger has achieved a steady charge, or at least I assume it has since there are no instructions…
