I bought one of these a while back and haven't had any luck with a good signal. Until I read some great reviews about one of them. More is not necessarily better. If you live in the city, you don't need an amplifier. You only need an amp if you live 50 miles from the nearest tower. Thank you to the reviewers who encouraged me to upgrade my trusty bunny ears. You were right; Able is worth the money. Based on the Revain reviews, I've enhanced the sound of the tiny crackling noises in my bunny ears and periodically digitized images of weather changes. I live in the weird metropolitan area of San Fla where all the stations are either 20+ miles north or 20+ miles south of my home. This has always made it difficult to receive ANY signals.
