I bought one of these a while back and haven't had any luck with a good signal. Until I read some great reviews about one of them. More is not necessarily better. If you live in the city, you don't need an amplifier. You only need an amp if you live 50 miles from the nearest tower. The amplifier will actually interfere with the TV signal if you live in the city. When I unplugged the amp, my TV signal was crystal clear. Also, you should check out other channels from time to time as it only takes

Great upgrade over bunny ears in terms of picture and sound quality

Thank you to the reviewers who encouraged me to upgrade my trusty bunny ears. You were right; Able is worth the money. Based on the Revain reviews, I've enhanced the sound of the tiny crackling noises in my bunny ears and periodically digitized images of weather changes. With Able I get the same number of transmitters (28) without an amplifier. There is no noise or crackling in the audio and I have a stable, greatly improved picture. I was surprised that adding an amplifier didn't noticeably…

Brilliant! Excellent purchase!

I live in the weird metropolitan area of San Fla where all the stations are either 20+ miles north or 20+ miles south of my home. This has always made it difficult to receive ANY signals. Also, all the stations are in opposite directions. In the pre-digital days, I was told that I would need a big ol' motor antenna on the roof to get anything. This little $20 antenna worked pretty well, picking up about 20 channels on the television set on an interior wall in the center of the two-story house…
